What in the world is this? It has invaded my hanging plants. It twines around the stems of my petunias. It has tiny little grape-like balls also. It is very pale green or yellow. Any idea?
Thanks!

celia,
I don't know what it's called but I remember seeing the same thing posted in the Plant ID forum this summer. Sorry I don't remember which month. I do remember that it's some kind of weed.

Looks like dodder--it's a parasitic plant. I'd get rid of it--definitely not something you want around.
Thanks! Yep it sure is dodder. I read that it is also called strangleweed. That's the perfect name for it! I'm definitely going to have to find a safe place to dispose of it!
