WIlted and Leafless

Clayton, IN

Our Japanese Maple leaves began wilting and turning brown this spring and many of the leaves died off by summer. I went out yesterday to take pictures of it and it appears that some areas are starting to show new growth. I couldn't find any visible damage to trunk or limbs but then I'm not real familiar with what to look for on one of these. Is there something we should do for it before Fall/Winter hits to help it thru to Spring?

You can play Taps for it. I say it is a goner. Take it back to you ever sold it to you and see what they will do.

cc is this the same tree as on your other thread?

i agree with dave - to bad that looks like it was a nice tree too. would also not plant another jm in the same spot untill you find out what it died from.

check out this link and look for the damage when you remove the maple - http://plant-disease.ippc.orst.edu/disease.cfm?RecordID=715
