Shortly after purchasing an issai kiwi- and before planting it in the ground- several of the leaves started looking like this picture. Within a day or two, the affected leaves had become dry, brown and brittle. Thinking it must be a fungus, I treated the plant and removed the affected foliage- it has now been planted and the issue continues. I've researched like crazy and have found issai kiwi vines to be virtually pest and disease proof. So, what is happening?
