Hurricane JIMENA

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Hurricane Jimena is a dangerous Category 4 hurricane and could still strengthen. She is going to hit the Baja California coast Wednesday. Folks in western Mexico, as well as southern California and southwestern Arizona should be paying close attention to this storm.

Marylyn, it sure looks nasty!

Yes, it does!!

Jimena weakened to a Cat 3 this afternoon, and the experts don't seem to expect her to do much strengthening. That's good! :-) They're not sure where she is going to go after making landfall - to the east toward Arizona, or to the west and back out to sea.

CA needs her to go up and out.
Throw some of the rain bands around my BIL's place.
That would certainly work on the flames.

Yeah, Ric... I've been praying for that, too.

It's been downgraded to a tropical storm now, and it looks like it's just going wander around in the Gulf of California until it becomes a low. I'm glad the hurricane is over, but I hope some of the people who needed rain actually got some. I know the DGers in Arizona were really hoping it would head their way.
