There is scale coming into the yard for the first time in ages. I just can't remember which one to use. It's only on a couple of plants, but have to get it in check.
Also, has anyone used a systemic for scale and if so which one?
HELP!!!
Thanks,
Hap
Alcohol or peroxide
I don't think peroxide does much for insects, and depending on what type of scale it is, I'm not sure the alcohol would penetrate their hard outer layer or not. Soft scales it might work though. As far as systemics--the only ones I've seen available have imidacloprid as the active. That will work on most scale, but I learned last winter that it does not work for cottony cushion scale. But as long as that's not the type of scale you have then it should work fine. Bayer 3-in-1 is the brand that I usually see around here but there may be others too.
Thanks so much. I have used the Bayer's before and will get some more.
Hap
