Asparagus foliage turning brown: it is time to cut it down (watch out for spines) and do not leave any debri around the crowns to avoid over wintering of asparagus beetle. Mulch well with well-rotted garden compost.
Harvest carrots, beetroots and turnips. Parsnips are better left in the ground, as they taste better after the first frosts
Tomatoes : if you still have green tomatoes in the plant, take the whole plant and hanged upside down. the tomatoes will ripe nicely. See:
