A friend in TX told me that his photinia leaves are curling into a lengthwise tube.
I told him to check inside the tube for critters. He did not find any.
It has been very dry lately but he waters alot trying to keep things alive.
No , I have no idea what the heck a photinia is lol lol
Any ideas ?

Photinia leaves are curling into a tube
Well, I know what a Photinia is... Leaf curl can happen when it is hot and dry - and depending where he is in Texas, it is probably hot and dry. Sprinkling isn't going to cut it - he needs to do some deep root watering. Let a hose dribble at the root zone for several hours - once or twice a week. This is not a symptom of fungus or insect problems in photinia.
