Found this critter on my petunias - something has been eating my petunia flowers both blooms and buds. Could this be the culprit?
Thanks, Snug
Is It a Locust or a Caterpillar?
It could be - grasshoppers such as this one in the genus Melanoplus can be quite generalists in feeding. However, there are other possibilities as well; you need to catch something in the act of feeding to be certain.
I appreciate your response. I don't believe he is the culprit of the feeding freenzy though. I later found a well-camouflaged worm/caterpillar feasting on the petunias!
Thanks, Snug, :o)
