Here is a stinkhorn mushroom in WI..lol
Stinkhorn mushroom
Good shot!
Much nicer looking than the one we found in our yard a couple of years ago. I wouldn't have noticed it but for the flies. There were bunches of flies buzzing around in a small area and I wondered what in the world they were so attracted to. I guess the "stink" is what draws them. I had never seen nor heard of a stinkhorn mushroom before then.
I found this really funky 'shroom in my yard... i was thinking at first glance that it was a carrot, as it was bright orange, but it looked like it had a green "hat" ... very bizarre looking.
It is bizarre looking. Looks like a carrot dipped in green paint.
yea -- i thought so too. I literally thought it was one of those Baby Carrots, and I knocked it out of the ground, only to see the mushroom part still in the ground... that is when i was like... Wow, that's a mushroom.
very funky looking in deed....
Those are great everybody! Arent they fun to see...
Yes. With all the wet weather this year, we've had a lot of mushrooms in our yard. Quite a variety, too!
I have a new one have to find the pic. Yes Ima it has been quite a year...
Weird, aren't they? Not your "typical" mushroom.
Lol No they are not....hahahah They make me smile though
That one IS strange looking!
You're right. Those Gandoderma mushrooms do look like foamy mugs of beer. Of course, they say beer has medicinal value, too.... LOL Very interesting mushrooms, all.
Great pics! Foamy mugs of beer lol hahahha
A close up of pic number two could be lethal.. It looks like coral... Wonderful pics.......Love them
