These are two pepino plants started from seed this year. I don't expect any fruit from them this year as I read they take at least a couple of years to fruit, so they will be coming in (probably to the garage) in the winter. They were doing well, got aphids and some tiny white things, got rid of the aphids with Safer soap spray, and looked fine. Today they have many leaves curled along the lengthwise edges, one plant much more than the other. Any ideas? Soap damage?
Curly Pepino leaves
I think you nailed it. Always test a small area of a plant before spraying the whole thing - especially when it is something that isn't exactly registered for use on that plant. And spray it in the evening so the sun won't burn. And be careful about the strength of the spray.
This looks like cultural problem - not like a fungus problem.
It should recover with no permanent damage.
