I just learned that you never save spaghetti squash seed from a small garden. I was so impressed that my plants were so huge, till I noticed some equally huge squash on the vines. Unfortunately, they were pale green stripes and speckles and shaped like pregnant zucchini. On another plant were big lumpy deep yellow squash. Only one plant actually has anything that resembles spaghetti squash.
If I use the green ones when they are little, they are kind of like zucchini, but the yellow ones are a complete wash. Oh well, the chickens like them.
I can't wait to see what the acorn squash turn out like.

Oh, me too, I would love to see some pictures of your garden bounty :)
