Luping's Basil

Keaau, HI

Hows'it folks!

Administration says that we are over-taxing the resources of the original thread. Maybe we can start over here to avoid that.

(Zone 5b)

found you! hey we have to keep it to 100 posts... that thread WAS a bear! I'm heading out for the day, I'll look back here to see where y'all are :)
have a great day everybody!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

They also said we must keep topical and that there are subscriber forums for us to chat in.

Guess the slug thread will be next. Poor Ican....we have to mail her if we move

Keaau, HI

Hi Moon, what are those forums?

I thought our topic is plants in general.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

GeneralDiscussion forum, The Parking lot forum and The Back Porch forum are the ones she suggested.

(Zone 5b)

As long as we all subscribe, I'm glad I did lol
I don't think Venice did....
the parking lot makes us sound ummm like vagrants....back porch sounds better
haha just kidding, whatever everybody decides.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

You must admit Dave, the discussions did digress....we talked about a lot of things, but each of us eventually brought things back to gardening.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

I was going to say they will just move us again with a plant name on the title.

hmmmmmmm

I wonder how the Classic thead made it past them?

Classic Threads forum: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/550014/ .

As someone who d-mailed me and was enjoying our thread said, that one was not born a classic, but was move there later.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Wait, they said "limit your threads to no more than 100 posts".

I was on the iris forum, and I know that they have a lot of long post over there, so I checked the first 10 pages of it, and they had 22 posts that had more then 100 posts on them, and some had over 300.

I have also seen post with that many replys on the poultry forum.

What is goes for one should go for all!

I found a forum under back porch that's called welcome home, what do you guys think of going there? it's free to everyone, so if any of us don't or can't subscribe, (or can't in the future) we can still chat.
Rachel does that cat really need a tan? ;)

Keaau, HI

Name the cat? How about Occie. (Short for Ocelot.)

Your good Dave! By the way.......I have this plant that need's an I.D;-) I will just have to find where I put it.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Is that an ocelot, or one of the exotic domestics breeds, like Serengetti or Savannah?

http://www.exoticcatnetwork.com/

If all are agreed on Welcome Home, then we can D-mail Jim and Ican, a post a message letting folks know where we are....wouldn't want to wind up like Jamestown....grin

Keaau, HI

Moon found our Band of Gypsy refugees a new home, but as it turns out, they don't allow photos; and I had gotten all groomed up for the occasion!

Seems we are under a sort of incarceration.

I think several Jimi Hendrix songs and a tall glass of wine are in order.

A forty year old memory!

hey guys you can post photos at the parking lot, want to go there?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

LOL Dave. At least you aren't tiptoeing thru the tulips as you wander across the Rainbow Bridge....

Lynnie, even though my mama told me never to hangout in parking lots (grin) I went and checked it out. 55 pages of threads, many of them with well over a hundred posts, photo capability. Those are the pros. The only con I saw is that it is a members only site, so our Silent Majority and new posting friends would not be able to join us. OKAY, everybody in a huddle....what we gonna do?

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Dave, did anyone ever tell you that your a nut :p

And Rainbow Bridge means something else to me.

Keaau, HI

Thanks for the link Kassy. Wish my dial-up would load it correctly.

Parking lot sounds okay to me.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Yeah, we need to decide, cuz I am getting whiplash trying to figure out where we are...grin. I'll go find us a parking spot in the lot and we can move our 7(000) gypsies banded together to Hijack the starship...oops parking lot.....the songs just keep popping up...grin

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Dave, your on dial up??????

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

I hate to tell you this, but parking lot is not going to work!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Okey-dokey-smokey. There is a space reserved in the parking lot forum for us....you'll recognize which one is ours....

Rachel, you look so comfortable sitting there in the shade in your "palis"

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Well I need to get my sleep so I can work again tonight.

Let me know if you figure anything out by wednesday..............LOL

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Sweet dreams Kassy, We'll try to figure out somethin'

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

What about Furnishings Discussion Forum

We are furnishing the outdoors..........LOL

Keaau, HI

Aloha oi Kassy.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Okay. I am off to buy school supplies. Got a list 30 items long.....may take a while. grin

Try on all the threads so far and see what fits and will allow room to grow....we know we at least need room.

cuz you gotta give me room to move.....I can't play unless I got room to move......(and the hits just keep on coming)

Keaau, HI

What kind of classes are you taking Jean?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I am home schooled Dave. The school supplies are for my grandson Jordan. He is a sophomore in high school, this year. Classes started this past Wednesday.

Keaau, HI

Oh yes, this is Back to School season.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Yeah, and trying to convince a teenager to get to sleep at night after a summer of freedom is a bit of a task....not nearly as hard though as getting him up at 5:30 in the morning.....kid has a serious sleep gene. Grin

Question. I just noticed that some threads over in the parking lot are marked with an asterisk(*) in the new Yes/No column. Anyone know what that is for? (our new thread there is one of them)
