Xavier has just announced a Community Lecture Series for this fall that I thought may be of interest to DGers in the ORV:

The Introductory Lecture is Michael Pollan, the New York Times Writer, on September 27, 2009, 1:00 pm, “In Defense of Food: The Omnivore’s Solution”

another lecture is by David Montgomery, the 2008 MacArthur Fellow, on March 14, 2010, 7:00 pm “Dirt: The Erosion of Civilizations”

Wendell Berry and Wes Jackson and Gene Logsdon, April 11, 2010, 7:00 pm featuring “An Informal Conversation”. Wendell Berry is a Kentucky farmer and writer described by the New York Review of Books as “perhaps the great moral essayist of our day.”, Wes Jackson is a Kentucky farmer and writer and Gene Logsdon farms in Northern Ohio and writes extensively on small family farm issues.

The Lectures are presented at Cintas Center on Campus, are open to the public, and they are free. There are seven lectures in the Series.

And if you haven't been there, plenty of parking very close to Cintas as well.
