How do you treat this ,we had a very wet cold spring,I thought it would come out of it by now,no dying leaves, not a lot of blooms but that was my fault not protecting last winter
yellow leaves on glowing ember hydranga
Hi Hugger,
The same thing happened to me, mostly with mountain hydrangeas and bayberries. Your plant is chlorotic, as in iron chlorosis. Your soil, like mine, is probably very alkaline. You need to give your plant a little help to lower the ph. Some form of iron chelates works really well. I use Ironite as a spray, right onto the leaves. They will "green up" in just a few days. If you cannot find it, get some iron sulphate (better than aluminum sulphate) and scratch it into the soil.
Don't worry, this is easily corrected.

Thank you Donna, someone had told me earlier what the problem was but could not remember chlorosis.I will get right on that !!!:)thanks again .Tamara
Tamara, I'm so pleased. We all worry about our plants, and I love it when I'm able to help. Thank you for getting back to me.
