After a dinner outing for the birthday, my wife and I went on a quest to locate some red lobelia in it's native habitat.
We were successful, but the sun was going down.

That sure is an eye-catching red. I have a red zinnia like that in my garden but it wants to turn orange-red in photos

Returned to the Cardinal ditch yesterday.

Bumble Bee in lobelia.
