it has the Scientific name of 'Adiantum Aethiopicum'
and can be grown both indoors and outdoors too!

Considered hardy and a native of Australia but the southern USA has some too. (not sure about that info.)

But it can grow and survive in the southern areas of the USA.

The Southern native is Adiantum capillus-veneris. It grows on rock out croppings, stream sides and seeps (limestone usually). It is wide spread in the central Texas area and should be planted more often. It will grow in regular garden soil, in shade.

It grows best in the winter months in TX and in dry summers it will go dormant.
