"murphy-bed" style of sewing cabinet

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Hi!
Y'know how those murphy beds work - bed is down when in use, but it folds up into the wall when Not in use.
Well, I have a murphy-bed style of sewing cabinet and it sure saves a lot of space in my small den! It stands about 14-20" out from the wall, depending on the thickness of wood you use, and the size of your sewing machine. I modified it to use heavier wood, so of course I had to use heavier supports.

I got this pattern from a set of Popular Mechanics (from the 70's), so the pictures of the people is a little old-fashioned...

Here's a pic of it in use.
