Aww, Pixie! You really are such a sweet and loving person. Thank you for the thread. As you'd expect I love your color harmonies with those wonderful daylilies!

Thanks, ngam - I've always loved your name (no good in morning)! Those daylilies belong on the backlit photo thread of Dinu's as well as here! They're lovely.

Thank you, again, to each and every Northeast Forum person who greeted me with Dmails. It made the morning fly by just as the years seem to have flown by. I do appreciate all the good thoughts and good wishes. It's always nice to know I'm missed!

Here's a photo of one of the several Japanese irises Pixie has sent me:

Your very welcome Pirl. I knew that iris would THRIVE in your care, it's beautiful if I do say so myself!
I believe this one is 'Ruffled Dimity'

Thanks, Jen. Lovely daylily.

We've managed to give away a few hundred more of them this year so we're making great progress.

Happiest of birthdays, Pirl. Hope it's full of 'pretties'!

Happy Birthday, fellow slug hater extraordinaire! Hope you are having a wonderful day, Pirl. (with no slugs to spoil it!)

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Thank you, Joy. Didn't the birthday list include you for July 28th? Beautiful hydrangea!

Thanks, Jan. The deer feasted for my birthday so that diminished some daylily buds but that's just fewer deadheads for me.

No slugs, Noreaster! It would be grand if deer ate slugs instead of hosta, caladium, lilies or daylilies.

not so much this year.... crazy weather... but thank you... hope you had a great day!!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Yes, the weather has been too rainy and we did have a strange June.

A birthday hug from my grandson is always the best gift of all.

Oh my how he's grown! He has the same hair color as you and your wonderful smile too!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

He's 3 now and actually read me all the words on the birthday card. He has no interest in a tricycle and wants to go straight to a two wheel bike so now he has a training bike to teach him balance. He's so serious about it - look at the white tips on his fingers!
