I tried so hard today to get some video of the little sweety diving. She did not cooperate. however got a few pix and other video.
She's started to put her head under water to eat. And this is what she looks like after.
Lucky Ducky… A duck on a pond, pt. 2
What an amazing ducky! and ducky Momma!
LOL Well, you had so many other things to see for the first time ;o)
Well her cuteness was so blinding! LOL.
I only have one more week with her!
That is the truth!
OMG! Time flies...no pun intended ;o)
So is that what is means to have eyes in the back of your....?
Marna, great shots of the little darling and the pond continues to inspire me to do similar - when I retire!! LOL
How many days left, Marggie?
Awww, I think it's going to be hard on all of us when she leaves.
Well at least i was promised pictures
Eight more working days, duckmother.
Woooo Hoooo!!!
How is lucky ducky today?
Very vocal at the moment, and quite HUGE. Yesterday it rained all day and we did not get to the pond. Had a swim in the tub though. I think that we'll get out in a bit.
BTW, she has lost TWO (that I've seen) down feathers. waaaaaa, my baby is growing up.
They do grow up quickly!
H. AFLAC!
Can you believe how long and lean she is now? No more little round puffball.
She sure has grown a lot & she gets cuter every day, huh?
Is she starting to get feathers yet?
Her personality is continuing to grow too. Cute!
Oh Marna, she is getting BIG isn't she!! She is looking like a real duck, one of those things with big feet that swim and quack. No more little cheaper there!!
Oh haw fun this adventure has been and how wonderful that you rescued her and have shared this exciting and oh so sweet adventure with all of us!!
~Sheri~ ^_^
She looks like a preteen quaker now! Cute pics Marna!
Now, she looks like a mallard!
Such a cutie of a pal. Oh oh, soon entering the teenage stage. A real treat Marna.
Tonight she helped me weed. She loves that because she get some worms. I'm going to miss having a weeding buddy.
She is so precious Marna and your shots of her are just beautiful. She is growing up way too fast but it has been a joy watching her.
My what a big girl already!! You need to make a memory book and put your photos of her in there to keep.
ha. yah. scrapbook. Save some poo…
eww
New development. Today she tried to tuck her head under her tiny wing to sleep. awww
She also LOVES mealworms. Too cute.
She has been reluctant to go in the pond yesterday and today. Odd. I think it might be because I added a new barley bale and it was something different to her? Kim?? Margaret??
LOL Marna!
:-D. Well I have LOTS of poo from her!
Also another development. She has accepted the dogs as part of the family. I was sitting pond-side with her. One of the dogs was there. The dog left and she called after the dog. I talked to her and she kept calling in the direction the dog went! Also today she followed the dog for a little bit. eveyrone say Awwww.
Yes, adding something can make a small one nervous. I had a goose that was almost grown, get into the water and his foot touched a stick. OMG! I have never seen a goose jump so high ;o) He would not get back into the water unless I got in with him...this lasted for weeks.
Awwwww, sounds as if your preteen Mallard is adapting to the dog, though. Awwwwwwww! LOL.
Well though she won't get in the pond (I kept putting her in the water), she is really liking weeding with me… mmmmm worms!
