What to do post-bloom?

Cocoa, FL(Zone 9b)

Silly newbie question. Do you prune? Any more expected if my dinnerplates were not pinched (and it looks like I may have 2 buds after the big boy came out... Do you cut the plant back?

More to come! Cut off any old blooms and their stems down to a leaf junction or stalk junction that show little meristems. That will stimulate new growth at the branch/stalk junctions. Those will go on to produce more buds and blooms. Then you do the dahlia dance!

From the ADS website. Cut off at the yellow highlight and new branches/flowers will form from the two little shoots.
