Well, I started this thread, shot pictures at the rehearsal and dinner and then my grand daughter's wedding and reception, and still made it back before this thread closed.

Here are three mockingbird nestlings, nearly able to fledge. And Mama or Papa coming in with chow.

Here is the next shot.

The nest is in the top of a ornimental fruit tree just over the fence in my neighbor's yard. The way these birds are jumping around, I'm sure at least one is going to fall to the ground. I don't think they can fly yet.

They keep begging as long as she (or he) is there.

Dave, congratulations on your daughter's wedding! What a joyous occassion and celebrations! We attended a wedding here this weekend. It was beautiful, what blessing for the newly weds!

Your pictures are among one of my fav. Always, clear, beautiful as if every pix has a story to tell. I just love 'em.

The one down below seems a little less advanced in development. It doesn't jump from branch to branch like the other two. Here it begs even when it sees its sibling.

Thanks Lily. Actually it is one of my grand daughters. I have 11 grandchildren and they were all together with me for the first time ever. Two are married. Several more are engaged. All are healthy and beautiful. I am truly blessed.

Forgive me. I know this far OT. This is her coming down the aisle.

This Oriole looks so hot during these 100 degree days. They're all going around with their mouths open.

This Calif. Towhee is a regular visitor to the small tabletop fountain on our deck and was waiting for the timer to turn it on.
