Daniel Duranda or Durandii??

Lothair, MT(Zone 4a)

I am sure these are completely seperate cultivars. But which would be better in my area? Is anyone growing either?

I'm not growing either one, yet, but both are considered hardy plants. Daniel Duranda is a group 2 climber. You might lose all the vines over winter, but it blooms on new growth too. Durandii is an integrifolia or a non-climber.

Both the Daniel Deronda and Durandii are hardy from zones 4-9. Julia makes an excellent point on Daniel Deronda, however Durandii is a group 3 vine, which would be pruned down to the first or second node each year.

Integrifolias die back to the ground and will send up new shoots in spring. Wonderful plants.
