Lemon Wave Lace-cap starting to bloom.

Long Branch, NJ(Zone 7a)

My variegated Lemon Wave hydrangea is blooming.

From what I have been reading, they say it seldom blooms unless you're in a tropical zone and is mostly grown for foliage. I am in zone 7 and contrary to what they say being a part shade plant, I have this one in direct sun for about 6-7 hours a day and it seems to like it.

This Macrophylla gets about all day worth of sun and never have a problem with it.

The further north ones goes, the more sun the leaves can take. Enjoy. They look great!
