How do you buy your clay?

I've been buying my from a local art store - the store focuses a lot on educational tools and only has a small section for clay products. I can only get four different clays and no porcelain. I'm sure the shipping cost of buying online are out of this world but wondered if more experienced folks had some secrets...? Thanks
