Bad news of the week....at least here

The late blight that caused the Irish potato famine is all over.....spread by tomato plants sold in big box stores.

It seems to have been traced to Bonnie plants and will quickly kill tomatoes and potatoes. I guess it also affects petunias.

I grew all my plants from seed and have brought nothing in from big box stores except a delphinium that was an impulse buy.

This is another VERY GOOD REASON to buy local and avoid the huge commercial operations!!!
