Lovely, Terri. I was slightly taken off guard when I got to this thread - since the date was still June 30th. Then I remember that you are 8 hours ahead.

Seeing your hollyhock reminds me of my hollyhock that got sprayed and killed by my neighbor's gardener. Next year, I am going to toss out a bunch of seeds, and then put a hoop around the seedlings. NO excuse for him to mistake that for a weed. LoL

Do you save your godetia seeds? I had some a few years ago, but nothing came up on the third year, and I never got around to replanting.

and what in the world are you doing up at 2:30 in the morning????

Thanks Dianne, it's great to see everything coming into flower, something new opening everyday!
I haven't grown Godetia for years, but will try and collect the seeds this year.
Hope you have more luck with your Hollyhocks next year, those chemicals are bad news!!!
I have another Hollyhock, it's only little but the flowers are frilly and nice.

The stayuplatepolice caught me again.... lol!

Your fav is my fav BB, now do you ever pic them and make an arrangement? You have such variety would make a lovely gathering in a large vase.
Thanks for the new thread - will have to get home and see what I got today. Think the star jasmine is finally going to open.

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

hiaghr, I just like to take the blossoms and put the flwoer floating in a bowl of water for a table arangement. It lasts for a day, but nice to enjoy anyway!

Jasmine is lovely, never tried growing that. Can it go in a container?

Here is a better pic of Little Joe.

this is an open pollinated seedling of Stella De Oro, the color is actually more yellow orange. I am not sure its cross, but I love the pie crusting on it. It is about the same size as Stella.

Here is Stella De Oro and is the correct color that the seedling above should be.
