The flower festival is going in Greenwood SC. Since I live nearby I anxiously await this event each year. I am not particularly interested in the festivities but I love the plant sales connected with it. Today went to check out sales and lordy!, lordy! even though I went late in the afternoon and only got to Jackson Perkins and Parks I was in plant heaven. Almost everything is on sale. I don't care, things like hosta, fern, etc are filler size, or that it is kinda late for roses, day lilies. They are at prices I am willing to pay. Got some really good looking stuff to grow out For around $20 I got what would have cost me abt $120 had I ordered them and I could see them before I bought, so how could I complain?. Will back there early Sat am to do more shopping and to browse through Parks trial gardens. Can't wait.

We have a garden show here in February and I go, ready to buy. A herb nursery always has a booth, so I stock up on things like stevia, basil, etc.
