I've had a bay tree growing in my yard for several years. I had to move it this spring. Although it is getting new growth, many of the leaves have dark spots, then turn yellow and fall off. I am seeing the new growth become similarly affects. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. I've search the web and found no answers.
Trouble with my Bay Tree
How much of the rootball did you get when you transplanted the tree? The biggest problem usually with transplants is that you leave a lot of the roots behind, so the tree will tend to struggle for a while until it can recover and grow some more roots. You might check on your watering, newly transplanted trees will need to be watered more often than something that's well established, but especially if you have clay soil it's definitely possible to overwater them too. If you could post some pictures of the leaves someone may have some other ideas.
