A couple years ago I planted OP Salmon Glow near my Prince of Orange. The next year if produced a couple blooms that were kind of a wishywashy pink. This year the spot where I thought I planted them has a different color flowers - kind of an inferior kind of prince of orange, but without the dark splotches. The seed pods divide in two parts rather than three as does prince of orange. I can't imagine what might have happened, can you? Maybe the plant reverted to a dominant ancestor? You know, like the ground covers that sometimes have 2 variations of color and the stronger one takes over?
