white historic ID if possible

Port Sanilac, MI

Any suggestions as to "similiar to", as oldgardenrose refers to them, on my historic white. It is 36" high, quite early bloomer and the flowers are hugh, 6" It's the size of them that I really like. Thanks for any feedback.

How old is it do you know? It could be Admirl Nimits wrong spell 1948. Whites yellows and pale lav or light blue are hard to trace down. There are so many.

I don't know how old it is; it was my mothers and she has lived here since 1962 but she could have brought it from her old home. I guess it was so large that I was hoping that made it special enough that there wouldn't be others that large. No problem; I don't need the name to enjoy it.
