Anyone know what this is? This weeping willow was planted 4 months ago
The weather has been hot, and storms with rain at night. I thought I was battling fire ants, then fungus, now I don't know what I'm fighting.
Weeping willow dying
Not a good time of the year to plant trees. They have to struggle mightily to survive. Next time try planting in the fall.
But don't give up on it. It is in stress right now, but with care it will hopefully pull through. Be glad it is raining. If it stops, you'll need to make sure it is getting enough water to make it through the summer. Don't drown it; just don't let it go dry.
