mixing worms in a bin

I am new to the vermicomposting world and would like to know can you mix different types of worms in your bin?Thanks

Yes. But only red wigglers are really going to do the job well. There are different breeds of red wigglers.

You cannot mix regular earthworms though in a bin.

Many folks also are starting to use European Nightcrawlers for composting, though I don't have any personal experience with them. They are supposed to be hardier than redworms, but that could just be the sales pitch!
