Ants On Coneflower Blossoms

Have any of you dealt with this before? This is only my second year growing echs and this year I'm seeing tiny ants all over the blossoms - looks like they're causing damage. What can I do about this?

I'm not sure. I've seen some ants on mine occasionally but not many of them doing any kind of damage.

Are you sure that the ants are causing the damage? Sometimes ants are after aphids on plants. Eliminate the aphids, eliminate the ants.
