I couldn't get your link to load. I have heard it said that peonies need ants in order to bloom, and I have heard that that is just an old wives tale. Are the ants beneficial to the peony at all?

I've read the ants were not necessary for the peony to bloom. They just like the sweet stuff. You know wives and their tales...LOL :)
