After this coming weekend snow, I will remove the stalk, dead foliage and some of the mulch back to allow the foxglove to continue to grow to its heart's content and to my delight with the beautiful blooms. After the first flush of blooms, I will enjoy a second sometimes a third set of reblooms when I cut off (deadhead) the flower spikes before seeds are set. When summer heat sets in, I will then deadhead the flower spikes to allow reblooming in the Fall. Hope that helps a little bit more |
