The car was parked in the middle of the drive such that the trunk where we were was only about 1/2 car length from the sidewalk. Amazingly, given her feral status, Kitty stayed in this position the entire time even as the group passed close by us. She seems to realize that she is home now, and thus does not have to run from people.

Edited to add that only a few days prior, Kitty would have split in a hurry.
