Over here they are just grown for culinary purposes. Have any of you tried eating the flower? It can be cooked as a vegetable and it tastes pretty good. I bought the ionopsis after seeing a prizewinning specimen at last year's flower show. The picture's a little blurry. It was very difficult to get close to the plants, not to mention having to snap a shot quickly before I was mown down by irate orchid lovers anxious to take their own photos! LOL |
