Tracey, I will enable others as others have enabled me :-)

And Diann, yes you can bribe them with hamburgers. Or potato chips. Or cheese. Or anything else.

Bartzella is a keeper as the others have stated, pixie - you will LOVE it. I planted one for the first time last fall and got two blooms this spring :-) It's kind oflike a brighter, fragrant "High Noon" in a bush form.

Thanks Ilily on the suggestion - it is kind of pretty and definitely a double which I didn't order. Never thought much about or cared for double lilies but it's prettier than I would have expected. I did order "Luxor" at the same time which it actually resembles some but again the double form and less dramatic interior has me confused, so maybe "Butter Pixie" is it. It has not been hot here and that bed is actually kind of shady so I would think the coloring would be more intense if it were Luxor.

Pard, Adelman and Schreiner's both in your back yard, and Buggy not too far away - that must be heaven!!!

Goldfinch, here are some more yellow lilies for you. These are "London" - planted 50 of them (John Scheepers) in my front garden in fall '07. I had some hard freezes which burned the tops and so not many flowers in 2008. They have just exploded this year. This is only a small area of them with Algarve and Dazzle as well as a few others mixed in. Only "London" so far is in bloom among the Asiatics.
