The first one I met dashed off very fast as soon as I saw it, but some time later I was with the local Field Naturalists looking for wildflowers on a hillside, when I found another Blue Racer. It kept moving across the grassy hillside, but had nowhere to disappear into and I managed to get a few photographs. Here is the best one.
