Hello Iris people & thanks y'all. I did do a color scheme for the circle & it is a kind of Labyrinth, except with a dead end... yet it's easy to hop back on track... I was gonna reserve the middle for plants from my (our) friend Carol Eads seeds & a fountain or bird bath.

I know most folks don't put same colors together lest you lose the individual, but I laid it out like a rainbow in order to get a whole bed effect. Within each color section I tried to put selfs near multi colors (term?) to help keep each one interesting within these limitations. Though i doubt we'll get the whole bed fired up 'til next year. I kept with the color scheme for Spring & summer bulbs too so there are 3 rounds of color for the season, and most irises are rebloomers out there too.

I did it like Wanda with tons of bulbs & a few daylilies tucked between the irises. But Wanda had a bed that went from cool colors in Spring to fully warm colors in summer. I like that idea too. I have lilies & Glads & Cannas popping up right now and the reddest tulips just got done. Spring was outstanding and the rainbow was great. I followed the iris scheme: From deep red to orange, yellow, white, light blue & violet to dark blue, ending with black, (outer rim) fading to inner rings of lighter cool colors again then finally scrolls around toward the center with hot candy colors: pink, peach with blue etc. "Punch" is in there and some other red/blue multi colors.

I want to be on my neighborhood's garden tour next year. Lemonade, cookies & all.

Thank you all for checking in and for all the enthusiasm for your own gardens throughout my apprentice & rookie year last season.
