Cheap! Available! and--maybe even at some windows in your own house. Don't you have any that need shortening????? If not--buy the smallest, cheapest vinyl mini-blind and you will have more than you van ever use.
Cut them up[ to any length--cut a point on one end, and--Voila! A plant marker!!!!

For small spaces--like a cell-pack, I cut mine in half lengthwise. Easy to write on with a permanent marker--easy to wipe off (Goo Gone), and re-usable.
