The hardest part was to decide on the distance between the shelves. We ended up making the bottom two shelves with 22" between them and the rest 15"; leaving one shelf left over. We had thought the lights would hang one per shelf but they are too skinny (bought the cheapest 48" shop lights HD offered). The shelves are 18" wide and can handle two lights per shelf.
