I probably posted this photo in the past but it is the best that I have been able to get to date with the ruby crown on display. All of my others just show a very small ruby colored patch. It's possible that I used the flash on this photo. They were close enough for a flash.

Actually, the same challenge exists for the Golden-crowned Kinglet.
