I had about 10 seconds of terror while it was occurring, wondering if it was going to get stronger or if that was it. I didn't get out of bed, just listened for some part of the house to collapse. Houses make a lot of noise in earthquakes. "Which is worse, a hurricane or an earthquake?" I've never been in a hurricane or personally experienced the aftermath, but I'd say that a hurricane is worse. I think that a lot more people have died in U.S. hurricanes than in U.S. earthquakes, and it appears that hurricane damage is more widespread. Hurricanes occur a lot more often, too. It is true with hurricanes, because of advance warnings you can evacuate- at least in theory. Weather here about the same as yesterday. How about a picture from the "archives"?
