For height in my containers, coleus for no-stop color and the sweet potatoe vine to drape over the edge.
Thses plants hold up all summerand will fill up the container over the growing season. I use moisture control potting soil to help with the watering issue.

Here is a picture of my container 2 years ago at about 2-3 weeks growth.

The red coleus filled in nicely when the yellow flowers that you see hanging over the edge gave out. (can't rember what they were)
