The sun is out today, but yesterday was rainy and cold. Snow fell in low elevations and closed a lot of roads. The No-So central valley artery I-5 is closed due to snow and mudslides. This means if you want to get to LA, you go either through the desert or take the 101 coast route (both out of the way for us here in the middle of the valley). I'm glad I'm not planning a southward sojourne in the next week or two, but I know a lot of folks are heading down there for the Rose Parade and Bowl in Pasadena on the first.
