We cover this with plastic sheeting or floating row cover material as needed. It also serves as a trellis for peas and beans. You could make one much lower to the ground if you wanted, or just use this pvc pipe as a hoop. Peaceful Valley Farm Supply sells great snap clamps that will hold the plastic or frost blanket onto the pipes.
