Vines and Climbers: How to prune/deadhead a coral honeysuckle, 1 by mlm01

It appears to have two kinds of shoots, one with the flower like the pic below and one that just grows.

If I do deadhead, should I cut it above or below the “round” leaf right below the flowers?
