Vines and Climbers: What should I do with my Mandevilla?, 1 by cnswift

Hi, This is a small Mandevilla that is actually a shrub and not the vine variety. It lasted through the winter, but looks a little 'tired'. Should I cut it back to a nub and see if it rejuvinates? It has healthy new green growth at the end of these long sticks which is why I have hesitated to do anything yet, plus there's new growth sprouting up from the base. Will leaves grow along the side of the sticks again? Please advise, it was such a pretty plant last summer and I'd like to see it green and lush again. Thanks, Christina
