Or you could take a rooted cutting and start shaping it. You would take a main branch and stake it straight and removed all the lower branches. If there is no main branch, you can cut all the branches back to the base and let it send up a new one. This process could take a few years. You would continue, year after year, to remove all lower branches and prune the upper ones for more branching.
